You need internet access and a computer to set up the Harmony One and you can do this with any computer, whether it is a PC Window 2000 or later or an Apple Mac. OS X 10.3 or later. You will need the model numbers ready of the devices that you want to connect to the remote. The secret seems to be to actually read the instructions provided – so many of us just skim the information. In doing so, setup will be easy and people find that the remote locates their devices without difficulty. Like magic really! The settings are stored on the computer as well, so this serves as a back up. The remote screen is completely customizable meaning that you can assign any function to any button and use your favorite channel icons. If you have previously owned a universal remote in many cases you can transfer the settings from one to another. There is excellent live customer support available if needed.

Any complaints?
Overall people were very satsified with the remote. One thing mentioned was that this universal remote does not control the Sony PlayStation 3. In fact the PlayStation 3 Adapter is required and the Bluetooth wireless connection allows you to have one-touch control of all 51 PS3 functions using any Harmony Remote.
