Project Natal is the code name for the brand new system for the Xbox 360 Kinect that will be released in the US on November 4, 2010.
What is Project Natal all about?
Basically it is an innovative system for controller free gaming! The project natal system is based around technology similar to a webcam which controls the game via movement and gestures. You can even speak commands to it!
The idea is that everyone can get involved with it, even older folk! It will get everyone jumping around and moving whilst having lots of fun at the same time.
The Kinect sensor has unique tracking covering all of your body, so it keeps you right in the midst of all of the action! It mirrors the moves that you make, so that you are in effect the controller!

Game Center app on the itouch
All people need to play is an itouch or iPhone running iOS 4.1. You tap the Game Center app on your home screen, sign in with your Apple ID, and you’re ready to go. A different nickname can be chosen that will be visible to friends and the gaming community. You can make it easy for more friends to find you by assigning several email addresses to the Game Center app. Download any games that appeal to you by tapping links in Game Center. You can start a game in the Game Center app. and once you are signed in you are always connected, until you choose to sign out.
Friends or Are They Opponents?
Bring your friends along for the contest. You can invite a person by sending a ‘friend request’ using their nickname or email address, once you’re signed in to the Game Center app of course. Your friends’ names appear in a separate Friends list in the Game Center app and when you tap on a friend’s name you are able see what games they’ve been playing. You can add friends if you wish, from the pending friend requests that you receive.
Leaderboards and achievements
Look at the Game Center app to see how your score ranks against your friends on the leaderboard, as well as all players of each game. Let the competition begin.
Meet your match
If you want to start a game with multiple players, Auto-match will prioritize your friends if they are also looking for an auto-match. Alternatively Auto-match will find for you, a soon-to-be-friend from anywhere around the world. Or you can also choose to invite friends and Auto-match will fill the number of players needed for a game.
The itouch now includes a built-in three-axis gyroscope which when paired with the accelerometer makes it capable of advanced motion sensing such as user acceleration, full 3D attitude, and rotation rate. In other words, more motion gestures and greater precision for an even better gaming experience!
No Memory Card For The New itouch?
There is an element of surprise among people that the i touch does not have a memory card nor is it possible to change the memory. I know that I was a little surprised about this also.
The itouch does not use a card and has instead an internal memory of 8, 16 or 32GB depending on the model purchased. Other brands which do have a card, have a smaller internal memory and therefore need and external memory card. The new itouch is beautiful in appearance, slim and light, and having a memory card option would make it thicker and less attractive visually.
Some users have asked if it is possible to upgrade the internal memory in some way. However this is not really possible and in anycase would nullify the guarantee.
Having researched several forums I have found that generally speaking, itouch 32GB owners are very happy with its storage capabilities and see no need for more. The itouch 32 GB, having a 15% bigger battery than previous models, is able to store about 8,000 songs, and 40,000 photos or 40 hours of video.
Will All Xbox 360 Games Work With Kinect?
There is a bit of confusion about whether xbox games that do not have the kinect label in the top right corner will work with the Xbox Kinect sensor.
Unfortunately they will not be compatible with it, no. The Kinect sensor itself will work with all older model consoles. Xbox have plenty of games in the pipeline to keep the Kinect game players happy and active.
So just to be clear for the Kinect sensor to work with a game it must be a game that has been designed to work with the Kinect sensor. The labels are clearly marked on the box of the xbox games. Here is an example:

There is a game called Kinect Adventures that comes with the bundled version of the xbox 360 4 GB including Kinect Sensor. Or there are other games that can be bought individually!
